Some words of inspiration...

Quote of the Month: Fashion is a profound and critical part of the social life of man as sex, and is made up of the same ambivalent mixture of irresistible urges and inevitable taboos - Rene Konig

Manuela Montenegro.

Today was a really amazing and exhausting day.
Today i pretending to be a model (and when i say pretending CODES to: i didn't have the slightest clue of what i was doing) to help my friend Manuela Montenegro, from Colombia who is studying Fashion Stylist at IED do one of her projects.
She is trying to go with the look of depression and deception (think Skins UK VERSION PLEASE)
Considering that its the first part of the project (draft) and it was actually me and her only, her taking the pictures and everything, i must say i actually love the outcome of the pictures. I obviously felt out of place (too dark and messy for me) but i think that she nailed it.
what do you think?

  1. I think both the photographer AND you have really succeeded at transmitting the idea of lonelyness and depression, among other emotions, in both pictures. I particularly like the first one, the framing is very harmonic with you in the middle, the bare trees and the path becoming smaller behind you. The sun hits you on the side however your face is in the dark, the makeup and your face expression just complete the whole idea.

Some words that I feel express what I see in these pictures: solitary, melancholic, abandoned, quiet, fearful, funereal, introverted, far away.

    Hope this was helpful!
